Presented by MariLou Productions, Erma Bombeck: At Wit’s End by sisters Allison & Margaret Engel is a solo show taking a comic look at one of our country’s most beloved voices, who captured the frustrations of her generation by asking, “If life is a bowl of cherries, what am I doing in the pits?” Bombeck found the humorous side of juggling being a wife and mother with a career. Discover the sentimental story behind America’s beloved humorist who championed women’s lives with wit that sprang from the most unexpected place of all- the truth. Playing the title role is Louise K. Cornetta, nominated for a 2022 Broadway World Award for best solo performance for her portrayal of Erma Bombeck at the Center for Performing Arts in Bonita Springs. The show was originally directed by Toni Palumbo.

What to Expect
Cost $1200, special pricing if you book three or more shows.
Erma Bombeck: At Wit's End performance by Louise K. Cornetta. Show runs a little under one hour. We make life easy for you as MariLou Productions will bring in everything needed for a set and audio (along with we bring an audio engineer) and take it away after the performance. We also provide marketing materials of photos and a written description to send out to your members/audience. All we need is a small space or stage to perform at your venue.
This show pairs well as a ladies luncheon or a dinner and show. Erma Bombeck is a beloved figure who was the most widely distributed columnist in America writing about the humorous side of being a wife and mother while juggling a career. Every person over the age of 60 grew up with her and loves her which is why every performance sells extremely well.
This show has been performed at venues such as Foxfire Country Club, Shell Point Retirement Community, Marco Island Arts Center Theater, La Playa Beach Club, Fort Myers Theatre and the Norris Center in Naples.
